We recently came to San Francisco and picked the Marina Inn because of the location. We really wanted to stay in the heart of the city. The hotel is nice even though the rooms are a little small. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend the Marina Inn to anyone who doesn't need a 4 star hotel and likes a great location and value.

Quaint hotel but on street parking only
04/23/2010We were not familiar with this area of san francisco & didn't realize the hotel had no parking available....we arrived late at night & there was no on-street parking ...
We were not familiar with this area of San Francisco & didn't realize the hotel had no parking available....we arrived late at night & there was no on-street parking available so we had to park several blocks away and pay for garage parking. The hotel staff were very nice & the room was clean.

This hotel is in a very bad location. No parking and BEDBUGS! We didn't see any but when we came back home, the bugs had infested our things. Stay away from room 415. I would never stay there again. Find a more espensive hotel, a well known hotel. It'll be worth it.

Good value for money, clean,good location and helpful staff. Walk to Fishermans Wharf and felt safe walking back at night. Stayed 5 nights. Would be improved if WIFI internet was available. Would have preferred to have been able to regulate temperature in our room - sometimes it was too warm. Definitely would stay again.

The hotel is quaint, clean and not in a bad location. Reminded us of a be and breakfast you would find in Europe. Its a pleasant 10 minute walk from Fisherman's Wharf and we were blessed with great weather even at the end of October, so we always opted to walk to and from the hotel, even at night.
