Found the tearoff map at the front desk great for using local transit. Found Line 30 on Chestnut one block north very useful. Bought a daypass "Passport" for all MUNI lines which included the famous cable cars. (Note: this can only be bought in a tiny booth at the cablecar turntable at Hyde and Beach. $*) Parking could have been a hassle but they squeezed us into a tiny spot in front of the night desk. You can hear every bit of street noise and the place is small but clean and staff are gracious. All in all a decent cheap place to crash in SF. We would like to check out a regularly priced motel next time 2.5 blocks west on the same side called the MARINA MOTEL. It looks beautiful but the same room is $*-* more per night.

We stayed for 2 nights here. Had a reasonably good stay. Pros, 1. Helpful receptionists. 2. Rooms are clean. 3. Conveniently located to Fisherman's Dwarf. 4. Wireless Internet. Cons, 1. The breakfast they provide is as good as no breakfast. A muffin and a cup of juice is breakfast according to them. Better they mention no breakfast. 2. Parking is free. Very limited parking. If you happen to reach hotel after 7, no parking in the hotel and the surrounding areas are so busy, tough to find a parking spot. It took me 45 mins to search for a parking spot. 3. Rooms are not well equipped. Fridge was not closing and no microwave. Overall, descent place to stay for the money you pay. Would recommend this place.

We had a good stay at the motel, the location was good for us being close to many things we could walk to. Although the room service could use some improvement the staff was friendly and helpful and when we asked for something it was pretty much looked after right away. We would have no problem staying here again.

this hotel is perfect if you are just needing a clean place to rest your weary bones after a full day of fun in san fran. parking is limited but you can park on the street after 6 pm without having to feed a meter or there is a parking garage on the corner that you can park in for free after 9. the palce is clean, staff was friendly, and it was surprisingly quiet considering it was on a pretty busy street. there are so many things within walking distance that we spent most of our time right around the corner on chestnut street instead of going down to fisherman's wharf. there is a wonderful bagel shop, Noah's New York Bagels, that is perfect for a light breakfast or you can hit the IHOP across the street. Chilayo is a great little restaurant on chestnut street that serves wonderful hispanic food.
